Echoes of an Outcast 01
Here we go, the start of this passion project, which is a turn based tactical rpg with a minimal scope, with a low poly modelling approach and interely based inside a dungeon of multiple floors.
The main pain point for this from my side is my initial lack of experience in modelling and expecially animating in Blender.
I worked in the past weeks more on the models and the art, I blocked out the first level in Godot to start trying out lighting for testing out the atmosphere I intend to convey.
I already have a good bunch of decorations models, I completely ditched the modular design for my levels and switched to creating a level from a single mesh in Blender, which is going to be improved later on with the decorative elements, lighting and particle effects.
I also have already the model of my first npc ready, I need to figure out the best way to rig it and animate it, since I'm finding some issues in animating low poly models without having too much trobles, also to improve the workflow that I'm going to follow for the next models.
In the following weeks I will dedicate to create the complete first level of the dungeon, creating the model for my main player character, setting up the point and click movement and camera to check if the project feels like I want it to.
Looking forward to having enough time to work on the project.
